Why I Am Running

 

  • I am running because I want to raise the bar for our local elected officials through Qualifications, Experience, Ethics and Transparency!   I believe in the analogy of Good, Better and BEST.   I believe I am the best candidate for this position!
  • If I become your next Benton County Commissioner, my goal is to collaborate with the cities within the county.  To work with the mayors, city manageres and city councils.  If we can combine resources and work better together we can make more improvements in items such as better public safety, fixing aging infrustrucre, make more affordable housing a reality and so much more.  
  • I am running becuase Benton County will be facing some very difficult Economic and Financial challenges due to High Inflation, Supply Chain Issues, Rising Interest Rates and the damage Covid 19 created for local goverment.  I am the only candidate that has the Education and 30 plus years of Extensive Financial and Business Experience needed to help ensure that your taxpayers dollars are being used in the best possible way so that wasteful spending does NOT occur and taxes are not increased unnecessarily!  Since being elected as your Richland City Councilman and now Mayor of the city of Richland I have shown a proven track record of saving taxpayers thousands of dollars in taxes!
  • I am running because I want to use my experience in Leadership, Finance, Teamwork, Business, and Human Resource Management to work with other community leaders to keep our local economy strong and healthy in Benton County.  I want our youth to have the ability right out of high school if they decide to choose a career path in the skilled trade’s profession that they can get an apprenticeship and get a good paying job right here in Benton County to be closer to family!  I want our youth who attend college and graduate to have the ability to move back if they want and get good paying jobs right here in Benton County as well!  God, Family, Country and Community are very important to me and I will work very hard to keep our local economy strong and healthy here in Benton County.  
  •  When Elected I would be the only Benton County Commissioner to have over 30 plus years of Extensive Finance Experience.  As state and federal funding to cities are being cut, its more important than ever we elect experienced and qualified candidates to serve as Benton County Commissioners to help ensure Benton County stays on track financially while offering oustanding services to its citizens!  
  • I am running to give back to the community I love, and to the county my family has called home for more than 30 years.
